Holster Review Video Series: Kidney Carry IWB

September 20, 2017 0 Comments

Welcome! This is the first video in the holster review series that we will be doing. Today we are discussing Kidney Carry IWB (in the waistband). This is my baseline that I will be using to review and discuss holsters going forward. Am I biased to this carry method? Perhaps a little bit, but I realize that it might not work for everyone! We are all different, unique people who lead very different lives and you need to find what works best for you!

Whatever holster you decide on please make sure it has good retention! A wonderful lady I follow on Instagram @tacticoolmom used the amazing phrase “dairy queen blizzard test”, which means that you put your firearm in the holster (unloaded obviously), turn it upside down and make sure it doesn’t fall out. If it doesn’t fall out, then it has good retention! If it does, you need to look for a different holster.

Next week we will cover another holster that is used often. Be sure to tune into that video as well. I am always looking for recommendations of holsters to review so let us know what you want to see!

I got this particular holster from Long’s Shadow Holsters. You can use the discount code: MILSPECMOM08
